Loose skin after losing more than 100 pounds
After losing more than 100 pounds on a GLP-1 medication, this patient had little remaining fat in her arms but significant excess skin. Her goals involved the relationship between her arms, armpits and breasts, as well as the contour of each individual area.
Extended brachioplasty for the arms and underarms
Dr. Smith performed an extended arm lift (brachioplasty) to remove excess upper-arm skin and address skin excess in the axillae, or armpits. The extended approach allowed the upper arms and underarm area to be treated together, with the aim of creating balanced proportions where these areas meet the breasts.
Breast reduction and lift with auto-augmentation
She retained enough natural breast tissue to reshape her breasts without implants. Her breast procedure combined a reduction and lift with auto-augmentation. Excess tissue was reduced, the breasts were lifted, and the remaining tissue was repositioned to create fullness in the upper part of the breasts.
In this context, “auto-augmentation” means using and rearranging the patient’s own breast tissue. It describes the redistribution of that tissue for shape and upper-pole fullness within a reduction and lift; it does not mean that an implant was added or that the overall breast size was increased.

The before and after photographs show the arms, underarms and breasts together. This view helps illustrate the coordinated approach to her upper-body contour after major weight loss. Individual results vary.
