The patient’s story

This woman in her sixties developed paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (PAH) after CoolSculpting beneath her chin. She wanted to improve her jawline and the contour of the submental region.

Because of the degree of skin laxity, Dr. Smith recommended a neck lift. She preferred a minimally invasive approach and chose VASER-assisted liposuction with FaceTite, accepting that more residual skin laxity would remain.

The photographs show her chin and jawline before and after the treatment she selected.
