Podcast Studio Privacy Policy
Darren Podcast Studio is operated by Darren M. Smith, MD, PC.
Data and use
Studio processes episode content, approval records and connection credentials to produce and distribute podcasts. Through YouTube API Services, it accesses channel and video identifiers, caption information, upload and publication status, and authorization tokens to deliver approved videos, thumbnails and captions, verify the channel and prevent duplicate uploads. It does not collect Google passwords or sell Google user data or use it for advertising.
Sharing and storage
OpenAI Sites, Cloudflare and GitHub process data for hosting and production. ElevenLabs receives narration content; Captivate, YouTube and Webflow receive content for distribution. If enabled, Anthropic receives authored editorial content, not Google credentials or YouTube API data. Content is shared according to your publication choices.
Google authorization tokens are encrypted and retained while connected. Cached YouTube API data is deleted within 30 days. Authored content is retained for production; GitHub media artifacts expire after 30 days. Hosting providers use session information, cookies and technical logs for sign-in, security and operation. Public website practices are described in the website privacy policy.
Your controls
In Studio → Connections, “Disconnect and delete YouTube data” stops access, deletes saved YouTube API data and the access token, and requests Google revocation. You can also revoke access in Google’s account permissions. Studio checks authorization daily and deletes stored YouTube data when revocation is detected. Deletion requests are handled within seven days. For deletion of other records or privacy questions, contact dmsmith@darrensmithmd.com. Revocation or deleting Studio records does not delete content already published on other services.
