Dr. Darren Smith believes his patients deserve the most effective, advanced treatments, including microinfusion. With the AquaGold Fine Touch system (AquaGold), and its 24-karat gold needles, gold is used on your skin to provide safe, effective, and painless treatments to shrink pores, smooth skin, improve acne scars, enhance skin quality, and restore a healthy glow.

What is AquaGold?

AquaGold is a microinfusion device that uses hollow needles made of 24-karat gold, smaller than a human hair, to deliver treatments to rejuvenate your skin. AquaGold distributes moisture-rich, skin-refreshing, anti-aging, and refining treatments directly into your skin at a consistent depth and without the pain often associated with less advanced microneedling systems.

What does it treat?

As with any treatment we offer our patients, Dr. Smith invites you a private consultation with our team in our beautiful, luxury, Upper East Side, New York City offices before beginning an AquaGold treatment. Once you have met with Dr. Smith, there are several ways AquaGold can be used to rejuvenate the skin on the face, neck, or chest, including:

  • To minimize lines with BOTOX, Dysport, or Xeomin
  • In combination with laser treatments to shrink enlarged pores, remove lines, or scars
  • To smooth other aesthetic skin concerns, such as superficial acne scars

AquaGold FAQ

How is AquaGold different from other microneedling systems?

The purpose of this advanced microneedling treatment is to deliver skin-enhancing nutrients directly into your skin. AquaGold provides the desired quantity to a consistent depth, pain-free, over the entire area requiring rejuvenation – a significant advantage over a conventional injection approach. Other microneedling systems cause trauma to the skin to trigger the collagen-rejuvenation reaction.

Why does AquaGold use gold needles?

24-karat gold is less irritating to the skin and causes fewer allergic reactions after use. It’s gentler on human skin.

What is the AquaGold microinfusion technique?

The AquaGold system allows for tiny quantities of various skin enhancing, anti-aging serums, and products to enter your skin structure including retinol, Vitamin C, antioxidants, BOTOX, Dysport, or smaller quantities of dermal fillers. The products are delivered to your skin at a deeper level for a superior result.

How long does a treatment take?

Depending on which treatment best meets your specific goals, most AquaGold appointments take approximately 30 minutes.

Is there a recovery or downtime?

With AquaGold, there is no recovery or downtime. You may experience slight redness or swelling around the treatment area.
